Role Reversal: When the Evaluator is the Evaluatee

Oct 29, 2016 9:45am ‐ Oct 29, 2016 10:30am

In 2015, the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) commissioned an external evaluation of its Professional Designation Programs (PDP) and of the associated Credentialed Evaluator (CE) Designation Program. The context placed the evaluators in unusual positions: the evaluation team was studying a program created and managed by evaluators; the CES project manager had decades of evaluation practice experience; and the program manager was also both an advocate and a seasoned evaluator. This panel will reflect on this experience, highlight challenges it raised, and explain why it was a success.
